Prepare your trip to Morocco: Important details to know

Flights

You are responsible for arranging your own flights to and from Morocco, as airfare is not included in the package.

  • Arrival: Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK)
  • Departure: Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN)
  • Alternative option: If your travel plans align better with both arrival and departure from Marrakech or Casablanca, please let me know. Private transfers can be arranged – please be aware that the distance between Marrakech and Casablanca is approximately 3 hours.

To find the best flight deals, I recommend using Skyscanner. Click here to search flights.

Arrivals & extra accommodation: If you’d like to arrive earlier in Marrakech or extend your stay in Casablanca, I’m happy to assist with accommodation arrangements.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for this trip. It’s your responsibility to ensure coverage.

I recommend SafetyWing for its flexible options. Their travel insurance includes coverage for sickness, injuries, sports activities, and even electronics. You can purchase it anytime, anywhere, and select the exact dates you want to be insured.

Click here to get insured and have peace of mind for your trip.

Sim Card & Roaming

If you don’t have a Moroccan phone number, you’ll need a local SIM card for connectivity:

  • Option 1: Purchase a SIM card upon arrival at the airport.
  • Option 2: Pre-purchase an eSIM card, which you can purchase before your flight and activate upon arrival. This option allows your national SIM to remain active as a secondary or primary SIM (depending on your phone settings).

Click here to buy an eSIM and enjoy a $3 discount with the code EXPLOR6364.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions! This trip was designed FOR YOU – I am happy to chat individually with you regarding any of the above details. I look forward to having you join the trip!
